First 30 Moves in the Opening

49 case studies take a position after about 30 moves of a game. The prior move-sequence is shown. The book does neither explain how to play the first 30 moves in the opening, why to play within a particular region in the given position, why to read only particular sequences, nor how to evaluate the analysing variations for choosing the next move. Instead the book provides ca. a dozen variants per position for only one purpose: study material as a selection for which variants should not be neglected while reading tactically. This is specialized contents but nevertheless a reasonable source of ideas for further study. Some moves in the diagrams indicate professional strength of the author.
