The Game of Go, by Arthur
Smith. Tuttle; 1956.
This book was originally published in 1908. As he says in his
Preface, "In the preparation of this work, I have borrowed freely
from Herr Korschelt's work," and many
of my comments about that book apply to this book as well. Like
Korschelt's book, we should all be glad that Smith wrote this
book, and many people in the pre-Ishi days learned go from this,
but there's really no reason to read it now unless you're a
collector or a historian.
